The
Arab-Spanish Investment Forum was held on 26 October 2011 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Murcia.
The forum was the first of its kind in Spain and aimed at deepening the commitment between Spanish and Arab businessmen and investors by presenting and highlighting the extensive business and investment opportunities in Spain and The Arab World.
The forum included among its distinguished list of speakers and participants both Spanish and Arab Ministers, senior officials from the Government of Murcia Province, as well as Arab and Spanish business leaders, investors and internationally recognized financial institutions.
MURCIA: A MAJOR GROWTH POLE IN SPAIN
Murcia Province on the Mediterranean coast is one of the major upcoming economic regions in Spain. With an area of 11,317 square kilometers, it combines important agricultural resources and a growing industrial sector with a unique tourism potential. It enjoys sunshine 300 days a year and is a major international destination for golf players. In addition an agreement was concluded recently with Paramount Corporation to build a large amusement park in Murcia over an area of 1.7 million square meters which is expected to draw 4.5 million visitors a year to the province.
