Franchising In the Retail Industry

Positive contribution of the franchise sector remains undeniable; Franchises serve as a quick doorway for establishing small and medium enterprises, ultimately leading to substantial economic growth in regional economy. While franchises are prevalent in almost every sector, retail franchising remains one of the most dynamic in the Arab region.

According to CB Richard Ellis, emerging markets have reaped the benefit of the ongoing global economic instability, which has driven international retailers to target economies with the best growth prospects and those least likely to be affected by austerity measures.

The report found that emerging markets are attracting an increasing number of international retailers and are competing with established global retail centers.

Moreover, and despite franchise brands tending to be dominated by the US and Europe, the MENA region is pushing forward to establish its own homegrown brands, and prospects for these brands reveal more than a glimmer of promise.

Beirut International Franchise Forum and Exhibition (BIFEX 2012) will further expand above mentioned aspects and provide a an ideal opportunity to know more of the sector’s most recent developments, trends, potentials and opportunities.

Who Should Attend?

  • Interested in the latest global retail trends and developments?
