The Ministry of Investment, General Authority for Investment & Free Zones (GAFI) and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group organized the Cairo Investment Forum, under the auspices of H.E. President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, Arab Republic of Egypt on the 10th and 11th of December 2006 at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo.
The forum brought together over 1100 high-level official representatives and corporate leaders from 20 countries, and presented an ideal opportunity to netwrok with key officials and to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the major changes and economic developments underway in Egypt.
Cairo Investment Forum concluded its sessions with 2 interactive panels. One with Mr.Gamal Mubarak, the Deputy Secretary General and Head of Policies Committee, National Democratic Party, Egypt, and the other with HE Dr. Ahmad Nazeef, The Prime Minister of Egypt.
Through its 2 days discussions, the Forum hosted 71 speakers and focussed on the following topics:
- Overview of the Egyptian Economy.
- Privatization & Future Vision
- Investment Climate & Fiscal and Administrative Reform.
- Investment opportunities in: Banking and Finance, Industry and Agriculture, Trasportation and Logistics, Tourism & Services, Information Technology and Telecommunication Industry as well as Infrastructure & real estate development.
