ÁLVARO MASSINGUE
CHAIRMAN OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF MOZAMBIQUE
- Álvaro Julião Massingue, is President of the Mozambican Chamber of Commerce, is a Mozambican businessman with more than 30 years in the business world.
- His business activities include investments in various sectors of the economy, including being the majority shareholder and General Manager of SOTUX, Lda, a company through which he became Vice-President of AIMO (Industrial Association of Mozambique) between 1994 and 2001.
- He is also a major shareholder and Chairman of the Board of UDM (Technical University of Mozambique).
- His associative CV includes the position of Vice-President of the CTA (Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique) from 2017 to 2020. He was also a founding member of the now defunct AEPRIMO (Association of Private Companies of Mozambique).
- He has a degree in Business Management and a Master's in International Trade Law. As well as being a businessman, he is a career diplomat, serving as Lithuania's Honorary Consul in Mozambique since 2011.
