Selim El Zyr
Vice Chairman and Co-Founder
Mr. Selim El Zyr is currently the Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of Rotana Group.
He began his career at the Waldorf Hotel in New York and spent 12 years with the Hilton International chain in Germany, Spain, Egypt, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates, eventually becoming a regional manager.
In 1981, he founded a fast-food chain in Lebanon. In 1985, he was appointed as Vice President of the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company.
He has received several awards and was awarded the National Order of the Cedar by the President of the Lebanese Republic in 2003.
He holds an honorary doctorate in business administration in the tourism sector from Johnson & Wales University.
