Akram Rashad Miknas is a recognized leader in marketing communications, public relations, production of several forms of media, investment, development of real estate and hospitality and leisure enterprises.

Promoseven Holdings owns majority shares in the Middle East Communications Networks (MCN), which is the largest marketing and communications group in the Arab world. Mr. Miknas owns several major real estate, investment, hospitality and leisure companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Lebanon, UAE and Australia.

Over the years, Mr. Miknas has worked closely with the governments of several countries in the areas of promoting peace, tourism, friendship ties, sports and public relations. Among the many awards bestowed on Mr. Miknas, the most notable ones include Best Citizen Award (Beirut,1962) Company Award L'Orient/le Jour Golden Award, (Lebanon, 1975), Bahrain Crescent of Merit (Bahrain, 1981), the GCCAA medallion of appreciation (2004), No. 3 on Communicates Power List 2011 (Middle East’s 50 Most Powerful People in media, marketing and advertising, and the Arab Ad Man of the Year. He was appointed honorary ambassador of Brisbane, Queensland.

He holds a club membership with EMC International, and is the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Panama and Chairman and co-founder of Advista Arabia.

Mr. Miknas was born in Tripoli, Lebanon on May 29, 1944. He studied at the International

College of Beirut majoring in Business Administration.

He is an avid collector of antiques and objets d'art, with large collections of mid-19th century film and photography artifacts, as well as vintage cars.

Mr Miknas is married and lives in Bahrain. His two sons manage some of his businesses in Bahrain and the UAE.
