Anna has recently joined First Abu Dhabi bank as the Deputy Group Head of Compliance where she is strategically leading and managing all Compliance teams. Anna is a qualified Admitted Attorney and her working career spans over 30 years in various roles within Law Firms and within legal, compliance & risk in the Financial services Industry (24 years) . She was the first female Chief Legal Counsel in one of the top 4 Bank’s in south Africa. Prior to joining FAB she was the Group Chief Compliance Officer of one of South Africa’s top 4 Banks and part of the Executive Committee of the Bank as well as an attendee at all Board committees. Anna has also held various Board positions including sitting on the Banker’s Association of the SA Board Executive committee & the Corporate Lawyers Association of South Africa Board. Anna holds the following qualifications: BA (Law), LLB, Diploma in Insolvency (cum laude), LLM (Corporate Law), Executive Development Programme (Gordon Institute of Business Science (India/Dubai international leg) , Strategic Management in Banking (Insead France ), AMP (HARVARD, BOSTON, USA).
