Dr Fadi Makki is since February 2023 Partner & Director at Boston Consulting Group’s were he is global co-lead of its Behavioral Science Lab. He has over 25 years of experience pioneering applications of behavioral insights and “nudge” concepts in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region, and has conducted over 150 experiments in health, sustainability, inclusion, and human capital development; he advised many governments and organizations worldwide on setting up behavioral sciences teams, developing strategies for integrating behavioral science approaches, and designing and evaluating behavioral experiments. Fadi is founder of Nudge Lebanon one of the pioneering behavioral science units in the Global South, and co-chair of the WHO’s Technical Advisory Group on Behavioral Insights for Health. Prior to joining BCG, he was also inaugural director of B4Development, which led the integration of insights from behavioral science into various aspects of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and other sports events. He served as Director General both at the office of the prime minister, and at the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon where he was also chief negotiator for Lebanon’s accession to the WTO.
