Hanan is the Senior Vice President and Group Head of Regulatory Compliance at First Abu Dhabi Bank, where she manages the group regulatory compliance framework and its implementation for various jurisdictions. Prior to her current role, she held a Managing Director position at legacy NBAD where she acquired vast experience in various areas in Audit and Compliance that included regulatory compliance at international level, Financial Crime, Wholesale and Corporate & Investment Banking. Moreover, she was the Ex-Chairman of the Compliance Committee at the UAE Banks federation working with local banks on leveraging the standards and addressing challenges driven by market changes and regulatory requirements. Hanan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Watford University in the UK.
