  • Haitham Jumaa is currently the Former Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants since 1993.
  • He is a lawyer with over 15 years of practice, He is a main contributor to the development of legal and regulatory provisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants.
  • He was involved in politics in different aspects. He participated as a member of the delegation of President Nabih Berri in Lausanne and Geneva conferences.
  • He is a member of the Drafting Committee in Lausanne and Geneva and member of the Citizenship Law of 1985 under the Presidency of the Council of Minister decision and a member of the supreme political security committee, headed by the President of the Republic in 1984.
  • Jumaa has several economic studies and he is an expert in emigration issues which was enriched even more when he assumed the position of Director General of Emigrants. Mr. Jumaa has many studies on the development, migration, labor and human rights and has two published books in Arabic,
  • He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the first section of the Lebanese University in 1977 and a Diploma in private law.
