Onur Koç's journey began in Izmir. He worked for a local software company in Izmir, developing solutions for SMEs while continuing his education in Dokuz Eylül University as Electronics Engineering. In 2001, he joined Microsoft. Over 22 years, he held 6 different positions on three different continents. Most of his Microsoft career were spent in product development at the Seattle headquarters. He served as a product development director for Microsoft's Azure and Xbox products. He completed his master's degree in technology leadership at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle. 7 years ago, Onur returned to Turkey as the CTO of Microsoft Turkey. He is now Regional Technology Officer for Microsoft Southeast region and working on attracting new technology investments to region, creating innovative solutions using new technologies like artificial intelligence, and strategic customer/partner engagement. He has been working on artificial intelligence technologies for over a decade. Onur Koç is also the write of “AI for A Better World” and “Secrets of AI for Children books.
