Oliver Morgans is the Chief Compliance Officer for Uphold Europe based in London. He is the MLRO under the UK's rigorous crypto asset regulatory regime and leads a department of 17. His department undertakes reviews on alerts, determining the risk in customer's crypto activity and submitting SARs. Before joining Uphold Oliver was the MLRO of another crypto firm in London. Prior to that he worked as a financial regulator for 6 years at the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. This included working on crypto policy in its earliest days on the regulator's radar, back in 2013.
