Under the patronage of His Excellency Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, The Arab Investment Forum, organized by the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX) in partnership with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Co., is set to take place in Maputo on July 24-25, 2024 to provide an exclusive opportunity to explore Mozambique’s dynamic investment landscape. Hosted by the Government of Mozambique and bolstered by support from the Arab Bank for Economic Developments in Africa (BADEA), this forum promises a unique opportunity for in-depth exploration and engagement.

Unveiling Mozambique’s Potential: A Business Perspective

Mozambique’s strategic location as a gateway to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) provides essential infrastructure such as ports, railways, pipelines, and roads for landlocked SADC countries.

Mozambique’s economic growth is primarily driven by its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector, with Eni’s inaugural export from the Coral South project highlighting its global energy presence. With investments from major companies like Eni, ExxonMobil, and TotalEnergies, Mozambique ranks third globally.

Mozambique offers over 80 investment opportunities in resource extraction and energy, with infrastructure development being a priority. Private sector participation is crucial for unlocking Mozambique’s potential. Upgraded ports and airports enhance logistics, trade, and regional connectivity positioning the country as a strategic logistics hub.
