Under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Iraq Investment Forum will be held on Sunday and Monday, June 1st and 2nd, 2025, at the Al- Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad.
The Forum is organized by Iraqi Economic Council under the supervision of the Prime Minister’s Office and the National Investment Commission, and in collaboration with the “Al-Iktissad Wal Aamal” group and Union of Arab Chambers.
The Forum arrives at a significant moment in Iraq’s economic transformation, as the country enters a new phase of development and growth, driven by structural reforms and greater openness to both Arab and global markets. Iraq’s strategic location at the crossroads of global trade routes, coupled with its human capital and abundant oil and gas resources, creates a highly promising investment environment. This presents vast opportunities to establish new projects, partnerships, and commercial ventures. Iraq has made remarkable strides in attracting foreign direct investment, ranking fourth globally among ten countries, according to the latest report by “FDI Intelligence.”
This Forum serves as an interactive platform that helps shed light on the investment climate and the diverse investment opportunities offered by the Iraqi economy. It also provides an opportunity to meet with numerous government officials, private sector leaders, banks, and international and Arab investment funds.
The forum will feature specialized sessions on economic, financial, and monetary policies, ongoing reforms, and the facilitation of investment procedures. It will also highlight investment opportunities in various sectors such as energy, industry, financial and banking services, infrastructure, transportation, and logistics, as well as the digital economy and public-private partnerships. In addition, the forum will include an attractive presentation of the Strategic Development Road Project and its impact on economic integration, as well as the announcement of the second phase of the new city projects, along with more than 130 investment opportunities across several vital sectors.
